A clear process, from first visit to first swim.
You'll know what's happening, what's next and who to call at every stage.
Consultation & site visit
We meet at your home, walk the yard and talk through how you want to use it: who swims, how you entertain, what you want to see from inside the house. We look at access, slope, drainage, utilities and setbacks, and talk honestly about budget.
- Property walkthrough and measurements
- Style, features and must-haves
- Budget range and financing options
- Timeline and what to expect
3D design
We build a full 3D model of your backyard with the pool, spa, deck, cover and kitchen in place, with your materials and lighting. You see it from every angle, including from inside the house, and we revise it until it's right.
- Photorealistic 3D design and walkthrough
- Standard selections included, with upgrade options for tile, coping, finish and decking
- Revisions until you approve
- A written proposal and scope
Construction plans, HOA & permits
Once you approve the design, we prepare construction plans, submit to your HOA's architectural committee if needed, and pull the permit with your city. Utility locates are called in before we dig.
- Construction plans
- HOA submittal and approval
- City permit and inspection schedule
- Utility locates and site prep
Construction
Construction follows a set schedule and you get regular updates. Each phase is inspected by the city before the next one starts.
- Layout, excavation and steel
- Plumbing, electrical and gas
- Gunite shell
- Tile, coping, stone and water features
- Decking, covers, kitchens and landscape
- Interior finish and fill
Startup & walkthrough
We start up the pool and equipment and walk you through every feature, including the automation app. You get your warranty documents and a direct line for questions.
- Pool and equipment startup
- Equipment and automation walkthrough
- Warranty documentation
- Follow-up after the first weeks
Your client portal
Follow every step from your phone.
Every Ridge client gets access to a project portal, powered by JobTread. It's where your project lives, from the first design to startup:
- Your schedule and where the project stands
- Progress photos at every stage of the build
- Documents: your proposal, contract and any change orders
- Selections, with the price of any upgrade shown before you decide
- Messages with us, all in one place
Your build photos stay in the portal, so you can save them for your records, or hand them to the next owner if you ever sell the home. Few buyers ever get to see how their pool was built.

Questions about the process
How long does the whole process take?
Plan on 1 to 2 weeks for design, 1 to 3 weeks for permits (plus HOA review if you have one), then about 6 to 8 weeks of construction for most pools in dry weather. Larger outdoor living projects take longer.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. The first consultation and site visit are complimentary.
What happens if weather delays the build?
Construction is outdoor work, so rain is the main cause of delays. After a heavy rain, we wait 2 to 3 days for the soil to dry before bringing machinery in. It happens most in fall, winter and spring, and we keep you updated whenever the schedule moves.
Do I need to be home during construction?
No. We need access to the backyard and a way to reach you. We send updates throughout the build.
