In short: we build custom gunite (shotcrete) pools across Dallas–Fort Worth, starting at $75,000. Each one is designed in 3D, planned for the site and built by one team from layout to startup.
Why gunite
A gunite pool is a steel-reinforced concrete shell sprayed in place. That means the shape, depth, benches, steps and sun shelf can be anything the design calls for, not just what a mold allows. It's also the right answer for North Texas soil, which swells when wet and shrinks when dry. A properly built, steel-reinforced shell is made to handle that movement. Read our gunite vs. fiberglass guide for the full comparison.
What we design into a pool
- Tanning ledges and sun shelves sized for in-water loungers and an umbrella sleeve.
- Benches, swim-outs and full-width steps placed where people actually sit and enter.
- Waterline tile and coping in porcelain, glass, natural stone or travertine.
- Interior finishes from classic plaster to pebble and quartz blends, chosen for the water color you want.
- Equipment and automation: variable-speed pumps, heaters, salt systems, LED lighting and app control.
- Water features: sheer descents, scuppers, bubblers and fire bowls. See spas & water features.
Designed for Texas heat
Orientation matters as much as shape. We look at where the afternoon sun hits, where shade will come from, and how the deck will feel at 4 p.m. in August. A sun shelf facing the house, a cool-deck coping, and a patio cover placed to shade the seating side make a bigger difference than any single upgrade. More in pool designs for North Texas weather.

Questions
How much does a custom pool cost?
Our custom pools start at $75,000. Adding a spa, water features and outdoor living typically puts complete projects between $100,000 and $200,000. See the pricing guide.
How long does a pool take to build?
In dry weather, most pools take about 6 to 8 weeks of construction. Permits usually take 1 to 3 weeks. After a heavy rain, we wait 2 to 3 days for the soil to dry before bringing machinery back in, so rainy stretches, mostly in fall, winter and spring, add time.
Do you build fiberglass or vinyl pools?
No. We build custom gunite pools only, because they allow any shape and hold up best in North Texas clay soil.
Can you add a pool to a yard with an existing patio?
Usually, yes. We look at access, utilities, setbacks and drainage at the consultation and design the pool to work with what you want to keep.
